Arpeggio Sweeping [PSH]

Estimated Time to Learn: 3 to 8 weeks, 10 mins/Day
This is my #1 favorite technique. When I learned this technique, it went from people saying “Oh, you can play piano” to “WOW, you're really good at piano!”. It's just one of those techniques that looks epic.

But it's really not as hard as it looks, as long as you practice it correctly. The first two videos are on the basic sweep, the form, and the practice strategies. Then the final video is on Advanced Sweeping. Basically, it talks about how to add on to your Basic Sweep to make it even more epic. But you'll see what I mean.

Note: This lesson is taken straight out of my Project Captivate course, so I may reference other materials in that course.

The Basic Sweep Part 1
The Basic Sweep Part 2
Advanced Arpeggio Sweeping
Key points from the lesson:

1. Learn the Basic Arpeggio Sweep before you move on to the Advanced Arpeggio Sweeps.

2. Arpeggio Sweeps are great for intros, transitions, and outros. They're a little tougher to put in when you only have a little space (because they take both your left and right hand), but it can be done with practice.

3. Once you've learned the basic sweep, try making up your own Advanced Sweep by “Lego Blocking” it together.

4. As always, focus on using correct form and the Accelerated Learning Techniques.

Action Step:

Time to take action! Use the Accelerated Learning Techniques to start practicing the basic sweep. Once you have the basic sweep under your fingers, you can move on to the different types of Advanced Sweeping.

I also wanted to give a shout-out to one of my Project Captivate students, Brent C. He spent 10 minutes a day for 2 weeks learning this technique, and sent me a video of him playing it. After only 2 weeks of practice, it's really impressive!

More Techniques Similar to Arpeggio Sweeping

As my YouTube channel started to grow, a lot of people started asking me about the crazy runs and fills I was doing. And how to implement them into songs. Sooo…

I created an entire course on it! It's called Project Captivate. This lesson is actually taken straight from the course itself. It gives you all my favorite flashy arpeggio runs, octave flares, left-hand patterns, trills, glissandos, and more.

And more importantly, it gives you the formula to learn them fast.

You can find out more about Project Captivate here. (Note: right now, this course comes bundled the Technique Mastery course so you'll have access to both courses for the price of one.)

Oh, and remember if this is within your first 7 days, you can get 50% off by going through the link on the “Bonuses” page here.

Happy practicing!

“Zach shows exactly what to focus on, the reason & application for the technique, and the time frame for working on it to become proficient. The exercises are shown in detail and Zach describes the best way to implement them into a daily practice routine for optimum results. In a few weeks my piano technique improved significantly.”
